The "No sugar, no flour" diet really works. As for your diet soda, it is not fattening, but the artificial sweetener (Aspertame) is bad for your health. ( I drank it for years.) I have switched to "Pepsi One" which contains Splenda. It took only a few days to get used to the taste, and now the other tastes "funny".

Good luck.

Look girl, most people think getting fat is a bad thing. Look, here are some advise: you can still get bread, but let it be wheat bread. If u eat white bread will, less fiber is consume and ur body need the fibers for ur faeces. Yes, I know it's disgusting and it's also true. Eat alot of fruits and fresh vegetables and drink eight glasses of water every day. Soda is bad for everyone health, soda will cause ur stomach wall to stretch, so avoid drinking sodas. You can eat chicken, but make sure its baked, brown stew and not fry.
Exercise at least 3 times a week don't over do it or else. With all of these trust me girl. You will lose some weight.

Eating in moderation is a must.

As far as your exercise program, you'll lose more weight if you work out everyday. You can tone your muscles and boost your body's metabolism by doing cardio work and weight training with low weight and high reps. This will keep your muscles toned and burning fat, even when you're not working out. Low weight/high reps allows your muscles to sustain conditioning, without gaining mass.

To stop working out as much as you used to, you can be doing more harm, if you're trying to lose weight. If your metabolism slows, then your body isn't burning as much fat.

Try eating a well balanced selection of food, don't do start with a radical diet that cuts out many of the foods you're used to eating. Try substituting healthier items for unhealthier item, one at a time. If you try to cut everything out all at once, then you have a greater probability of failing or binge eating. Allow yourself some slack. Give your body time to adjust. It can be stressful to your whole system to make radical adjustments all at once.

If you eat smaller portions, more times throughout the day, then you'll be boosting your metabolism...double time.

You're focus should be on living healthy and enjoying a lifestyle of wellness, instead of a lifestyle of limitations and weight loss. You will actually give your body a greater environment to lose more weight, if your focus is positive and geared towards long term.

A way of life is permanent, a diet is superficial and temporary.

Carbohydrates, Proteins, and Fats all have one thing in common. Calories. It doesn't matter what you eat, if you consume 2100 calories but only burn 100 you will gain weight. Your body can actually make sugar and fats out of protein, sugar can be converted to fat as well. The reason that people often gain weight with sugars and starchy foods is that they have high levels of calories for the same volume of food, so in effect you end up eating more calories to feel full.
Just consume a couple hundred fewer calories each day than you burn off, and consult a dietician if you are having trouble losing weight.

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://tinyurl.im/aHLul

The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

Bread and starches can contribute to weight gain -- some metabolisms react to them like others react to chocolate, fries and cheeseburgers -- no two people gain or lose weight in exactly the same way, I believe. Generally speaking, we lose weight if we use up more energy (calories) than we consume. I strongly encourage you to talk to a medical professional about your new food and exercise plans, so that s/he can help you stay healthy throughout.

You don't have to give up the bread. I've lost 50 lbs. over the last year and a half...Use a smaller plate to put your meals on, like a salad size plate. Eat three meals a day, only. Drink more water-it moves the food through your system and keeps you healthier in general. Basically, eat what you want, just less of it, and only 3 meals a day...and NEVER skip breakfast...Eating something with fiber will keep you less hungry for longer-proven fact-something like a bowl of frosted mini wheats with fat free milk and half of a banana on top. Good Luck! You Can Do It!!

Don't cut out all carbohydrates (bread, rice, cereals, etc.). You need some, and your body will crave them if you avoid them completely. The best way to lose is to follow the diabetic diet. You still eat some carbs, but try to make them whole grains as much as possible. Lean meat, such as seafood and poultry, is best, as well as at least 3 fruit servings a day and at least 4 servings of vegetables (1/2 cup cooked, or 1 cup raw). Limit the amount of fat you eat, but you don't need to completely avoid it, either.

The diabetic diet follows the food pyramid--

A total of 7 servings of carbohydrates (15 carbohydrates each)

7 ounces of meat (at lunch, 3 oz., the size of a deck of cards, and at supper, 4 oz., the size of the palm of your hand),

3 servings of fruit (one fruit or 3/4 cup of juice per serving)

4 servings of vegetables

3 fats (1 pat of butter or 1 tablespoon of salad dressing per serving)

3 servings of milk (8 oz. of either lowfat milk or yogurt)

Spread these out over the course of the day--breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus a mid-morning snack of fruit, a mid-afternoon snack of fruit and milk, and an evening snack of a carbohydrate and a milk.

I know this sounds like a lot of food, but it's not a fad diet--it's how you're supposed to eat anyway. And because you're always eating, it seems like, you don't get hungry and get tempted to cheat. Plus, your body doesn't go into starvation mode and shut down your metabolism--it keeps processing the food. Be sure to drink lots of water, too--that will also keep you feeling full.

You need to cut out the soda as it has way to much sugar and empty calories. You also need some carbs but you need good carbs and you also need lots of fruit. Eat a sensible healthy diet and you will lose weight.
