I'm sure plenty of people have... But really, if a board like this one can ruin a person's faith, then I think the faith of that person was never really strong in the first place. In other words, the board would be just a catalyst, and not the root cause.

No, I have not lost my faith, if anything, it has made me more interested in my religion (I'm Catholic). But it has made me question some of the laws of the church that virtually unused/unusable in this day and age. It has made me study more into other religions to learn about them. Not practicing their worship, just having a tolerance for it. Which is saying alot b/c most catholic's I know think that "we" are the ones who have the only "right" religions (being christians). I do not think that. As I just said, tolerance! You don't have to like another person's religion, but, you don't have to slam them for it either!

Has anyone ever gained their faith through the use of this board? Does anyone who didn't believe in talking serpents and donkeys believe in them now because they read about them here?

Nope!
Faith cannot be lost.
Misdirected maybe!
Each person has been given a measure of faith.
It is where the faith is applied that counts.

If they did, they never had faith to begin with. Loosing your faith due to some kid that speaks blamaphames about your God, through the use of a Yahoo! created avatar, on an oppinonated board. LOL

Any faith lost through open discussions of different beliefs must have been pretty shaky to begin with.

i can understand why you think that - There are so many religions giving opinions or putting questions forward that could make you question your own faith. However, its my belief that you should - 'seek and find ' - Buy yeah - I do see where you are coming from
