And?????????????? There are English road signs in France, Spain and Portugal because we English are too ignorant to learn another language. English signs can also be found in Polish and Russian airports for the same reasons. It's about time we returned the same level of respect.

It is a sensible answer to a known traffic problem.

For some reason there is a concentration of Polish drivers in the Cheshire area and when there were last roadworks on the A49, there were a number of incidents involving road repair staff.

If the new signs reduce that occurance, then surely it makes good sense.

New Malden near Kingston upon Thames also has road signs in Korean. There is also a large Korean flag flying in the high street. i can understand these things can be taken either way...ummm...I suppose we could look at it like, if this country is going to the dogs, and yet everyone still wants to come here their countries must be something else. (Although I love Korea, and Poland personally).

The signs cost only a few hundred quid, the idea- to stop bad road accidents with confused Pole drivers looking for directions.
Had the council stated that, the hysteria surrounding the signs would not have developed.
