I am going to say no since many people donate to find a cure. as soon as a cure is found most people will stop donating. which really sucks since a neighbor of mine died in november at the age of 33 she left behind her 12 year old daughter after fighting for 2 1/2 years to save her life.

There are already many natural supplements and plants that "cure" cancer but at this time it is not in the drug companies best interests to use them. Sap, Bark, plants have been used for centuries and known to certain civilizations. The drug companies get the plant and because you cannot patent a plant they take the substance and call it something else and patent it for their cancer cures. There are actually some drugs that work but it will be a while before the public wakes up to how to make this all happen.

I know there HAS been one. The solution though, is certainly not the use of drugs. The problem is that for some strange reason, people don't want to believe it is as easy as that.
A drastic change in eating habits - almost entirely consisting of fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh air, some sunshine, water and of course a trust in God. Many have been cured and have lived long healthy lives after being diagnosed with cancer after making a decided change for good in their lifestyle. If people were committed and were not looking for the easy way out, many would be alive today. Cancer is curable, you just have to know how to boost your God-given immune system to fight off the disease and not kill it with the oh so harmful chemotherapy. It makes no sense that people are willing to put themselves through that doing more damage than good to their bodies!

Some cancers do have cures. And, a lot of people out there survive cancer. But, like the common cold, cancer is a virus. And, we have still to solve the cold problem. The virus continually mutates, so it's hard to pin point in order to cure it. Maybe one day we can find a vaccine that triggers as it mutates. Who knows.

YES.
Some may argue that we could have already, and overlooked it. Dichloroacetate is an example, even certain vitamins have promise but will never be put to clinical trials. Only fully-patented drugs are ever tested against cancer due to the $1 Billion price tag on getting them to market.
Bottom line...cancer will look like a very different disease 50 years from now than it does today. Will it be gone? This becomes a philosophical question...as there is, technically, a blurry line between abnormal cell growth and normal aging. It will not be the disease it is today, however.

The problem is - there is no such thing as "cancer." There are many kinds of cancer, and we have found cures for some of them.
There are many we haven't. And cancer, like AIDS, keep mutating and so what worked on one kind last year might not work on a similar kind next year.
But we will keep investigating, and as new forms come up, doctors and scientists will find ways to defeat it.
The real accomplishment, of course, will be to find the way to prevent cancer, as we have done with polio and measles and other epidemic diseases. To prevent it from occurring is way better than being able to cure it.

I sometimes wonder if the whole cancer industry has moved beyond finding a cure. A cure for cancer would put a lot of people out of work wouldn't it?

I believe a cure already exist. And it is probably very easy. However, if the cure is released to the outside world drug companies won't make very much money anymore. Imagine how many cancer treatment drugs actually exist. Imagine how much they cost. Now immagine if someone introduces one drug that you take once or for a couple of months and your cancer goes away. The person would only need it once. Since this drug is all that is needed a generic form of it could be made and other companies would start synthesising this drug and it would be dirt cheap. Drug companies would not make much money. We live in a world right now where corporations benefit from disaster and disease.

If you understand the nature of cancer and its biological warfare. Cancer like many other microbial bacteria can and does mutate on the subatomic level. That is the direction scientists must go to find its hidden secrets.
So sadly I would have to answer no. Well not in our generation. Perhaps in 300 years when science catches up.
