I'm in the same situation, I have a 16 month old daughter and although I have family around my daughter isn't getting any child interaction. So today I braved it and went to a mum and toddler group, nothing to worry about! She had fun on the big foamy toys and she made some friends, although it only lasted 45 mins we both got out and I feel much happier I'm giving her a chance to mingle. Have a look at your doctors surgery for posters, they usually advertise clubs for toddlers or contact your health visitor, look in Yellow Pages. I'm going to start her drawing with big crayons at home and get some paints out. We go to the park twice a week and we love to feed the ducks. Shame you don't live closer x

Hi there, I am young mum of 4 girls ages 8, 6, 3 and 2, if money it tight wrap them up warm and go the a play park, they will have plenty pf fun there, just take sum sandwiches with u! spare the expense of going for lunch!!
Or mabye play dress up with the wee one, have a picnic in the house and play games.
You don't have to spend alot of money for u and your little one to have fun.
Have fun and don't stress too much about it! am sure your little girl is just fine. Enjoy

I also have a 14 month old daughter and have a difficult time finding inexpensive, easy things to do. I made "musical instruments" using plastic soda bottles. I filled them w/ dried pasta & rice, bolts, water...anything that makes noise when shaken. I glued the caps on, just in case. Also, finger painting w/ non toxic paints or pudding. My daughter really loves balloons. I blow a bunch up and we throw them up in the air and have a balloon "fight". Obviously don't leave her unattended w/ them. I wish I had more to offer. Have fun!

Anything involving water. Play in the tub with her, or the kitchen sink. Color with her, teach her about the world around her by taking walks.

You can invest in a box of corn starch and add it to a large bowl or bucket of water and set her loose on it. Its such a weird consistancy, it keeps kids busy for hours.

Theres tons you can do with a tot that age.

This stage of life is the most fun. My daughter was up and damn near running by 14 months. They love waterplay. My baby hates it when I take her out the bathtub. She cries. Just walk outside babygirl. Take her outside and let her walk around and explore. You just follow her and keep her safe. Take her to the park and let her swing in those kiddie swings. My daughter loves that.

I enable her to video demonstrate sesame street for one hour interior the morning, then I convey her out interior the buggy even as I jog. we are able to typically supply up on the park too. Then we come homestead, have lunch and she or he will sleep a million-2 hours. even as she wakes, I frequently take her to visit someone like kin or friends. now and again we pass to the mall so she will look in any respect that there is to work out. i'm always searching for brand new places to convey her: petting zoos, courses at library, seashores to play in sand. when we are at homestead, she performs such as her toys, reads books, coloring books to scribble in, construction blocks, dress up earrings, timber puzzles etc. If the elements is fantastic, fill a bucket with water and positioned toys or tupperware in it for play outdoors. basically have lots of relaxing!

why don't you try mother and baby groups, ie they might have it at your local church halls or why don't you try swimming thet might have mother and babies classes, or if there is a barnardos near you they do mother and toddler groups, which if you keep going you will be able to get your daughter on the waiting list for playgroup that only costs £5 for a morning, which will give you a break aswell. good luck
