In the last cafe I went to there were no eggs, beans, chips etc. It was croissants, pastries, proper coffee, teas and juices. There was also very tasty muffins, carrot cake, walnut and passion fruit cake and wonderful sandwiches. There was baked potatoes, salad and home made soup. It was great.

Depends what type of cafe, if its your typical greasy spoon then it'd be mostly fried food with a few sandwiches and maybe the odd baked potato thrown in.
If its a nicer cafe I'd say pastries, paninis, soups, salads, cakes and maybe a selection of daily lunch dishes like pasta

Turkey Club Sandwiches and a fairly extensive sandwich menu, Soup -- rotating soup of the day, potato chips, Coke and lemonade.
Breakfast should also be offered with omelets, eggs, toast, fruit, sausage, bacon, orange juice and coffee.

A cafe is like a diner...an inexpensive, quick type of restaurant....
They serve for breakfast, eggs (fried or cooked any style) hash brown potatoes, ham, bacon, hamburger patties, pancakes, waffles, with coffee, hot chocolate, or milk, juice, etc.
For lunch they serve all kinds of hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, chili and beans, salads, soups, etc.
For dinner they serve quick type of dinners like fish and chips, meatloaf with mashed potatoes, fried chicken with mashed potatoes, vegetable and dessert, spaghetti and meatballs, etc.
Does that give you some idea. A cafe is casual...not dressy...quick type of meals, cheaper usually, and has daily specials at a bargain price. You can get most anything you want but it won't be gormet or fancy.
