Has anyone ever dated someone more than 10 years older than you? If so, what was/is it like? There is a guy that is interested in me and he is 13 years older then me.

I once dated a lady who was 15 years older than me (I was 25). I thought it was AWESOME. But she tended to worry about me having Mommy issues. Now I'm married to someone who is 11 years younger than me (I'm 35). It is working pretty well for the most part, but I suspect it will get even better as our age difference becomes relatively smaller.

If you're above the age of consent, and you use protection, I think you'll learn alot from dating an older guy. I say go for it, but be careful!

Me & my husband have a 10yr age difference between us. I met him when I was 18 & he was 28. We have been together for awhile now & age has never been a problem! It all depends on the person though. But age shouldnt really matter unless you are like 15 & he is 40 then there is a problem! I also have 2 friends that are 12 years younger than their husbands. I hope this helps! :)

No. I've never been able to get myself to date a guy a lot (10+)older than me because either
1) we don't have much in common
2) they physically gross me out (remind me of those my parents age)
3) I worry they'll die of a heart attack
I feel bad saying it, but for some reason that's what pops into my head.
If you don't feel that way about that guy, then it shouldn't matter-- as long as you like him.

Well if you at least 30 plus it's easier. What I mean is if your under 30 your values are going to change dramatically, and also your values are going to be so different. I suggest that you stay with somebody closer to your age. You guys will be able to grow together. From past experience you would be happier with somebody your own age.

My boyfriend is 11 years older than me, and I'd say mentally, we're on the same level. I just have to figure out if that is a good thing or not....

It all depends on where you are in your life. If you've already been through school, established a career and have your goals prioritized similar to his, it could work. But if you haven't done any of that, and he has- it will be tough. He already knows what he wants, but you still need to live through that and make all those choices.

You never said how old you are. If you are underage I would be asking myself why a guy that much older is interested in girls so young.. Be careful..
