Why do you answer questions that you reported? What's the point if the question's being removed anyway?

For the two points! You still get to keep the points even if the question was deleted.

I often do it because many will still read the answers before it's removed. I'll answer, and then report, if I want to make a point, or expose hypocritical thinking.
