I can't separate praying and thinking Sean. To me they are a two part thing one does not work without the other. Laughing and crying come as they will.

1. laughing (we never should take ourselves or life too seriously)
2. thinking (this comes a close second as how would I have come to prioritize #1 without it?)
3. praying (sorry I know you're an atheist.. I just love communicating with my Deithe )
4. crying (it's important to have that release)

My priority is praying, because Prayer is directed to God -- acknowledging not only God's existence, but also a relationship and even a certain degree of trust. Prayer's not a waste of time because God is hard at work in this confused, ambiguous world, to draw it toward God's good purposes. Prayer is your response to that. God's response also has a direction: you will not be left adrift. Prayer is communication with someone you love and trust. Don't only do it when you want something. Prayer is as much listening ('meditation') as it is talking, as much a sharing as it is a plea for help. Yet, God has asked us (even dared us?) to ask. Nothing's too small, too big, too hard, or for that matter too twisted by our selfishness or lack of perception, for God to hear and take account of it.
Laughing, crying and thinking vary from time to time.

1st- Praying... because I need more help than anything, I also need direction before putting thought to anything.
2nd- thinking.... because thoughtfulness should be brought to any situation before I waste my time crying over it or make myself look like a fool for laughing at it
3rd - Laughing.... because its a lot of fun
4th - Crying... because its not that much fun but need to be done sometimes anyway

Laughing. The universe is too absurd not to. Otherwise you lose all perspective.
Without perspective, what good is crying, hoping, or thinking?
