Anybody with a tattoo on the elbow, or the inside of the elbow (ditch). How was your pain and healing experience?

Hey Germanrose, Saint Patrick's day, hopefully. It's like another Christmas for me. I'll keep you in mind.

I have two full sleeves. Elbows out an in done. Pain was intense on the ditch side where it was tolerable on the outside. I had more pain on the inside of my upper arm than the elbow area. It's healed like the rest of the arm. If you know how to heal it theres no issue.

As soon as I work out the final details I'll be getting tattoos in the ditch of my elbows :-D That means it'll take about a year to work out final details :-P

My boyfriend has tattoos there and he said that it wasn't as painful as he expected it to be and that healing just took a little longer because the area was always folded up/creased, that tat of his needed a touch up where as all his others were fine.

I'm pretty sure you'll be okay <3 When you gettin that septum piercing?!

My experience is that it "pulls" a little more because of the constant movement of the area, and all of those areas had to be touched-up numerous times because the constant bending caused the ink to pull out. The same thing happened on my wrists close to my hands, the creases of skin caused the ink to pull out a little.

Other then that, the tattoo felt a little "stiff" over those areas, whenever I moved my arm. I really don't know how else to explain it. I was really in love with my healing lotion when those areas were healing... ;)

My husband just got his on Monday and he always used A&D ointment for the first to days (washing it with warm soapy water in between) and then using Curel non-scented lotion after that. He says it hurts, but what do you expect? You were just poked with needles millions of times! Outside of his elbow was more of a pain in the *** than anything because he kept wanting to lean on it.
