Assuming you are trying to improve your appearance, don't make the mistake of only working on what you perceive your current weak point is. Do a balanced whole body workout, and extra work on your weak point. That will provide the best appearance and is the best for your body in that it will enhance the stability of your joints.

For instance, lat development, from pull-ups, adds a V-shape, which enhances the appearance of the chest considerably.

I know a lot of people say the gym but good 'ol push up will do the trick too. Do as many pushups as you can and when you can do normal push up fine, try doing military style (hands close together) and then after that do one handed. If you can do lots of one handed push ups, you should definiately be very "built".

if you are a member at a gym, flat bench pres is good. Incline press is VERY good. dumbbell flies are good as well. if you only have dumbells, you can do all of those as well. try to do 3-4 sets, 8-10 reps. when that gets too easy, increase weight. if you only have dumbbells, you can increase reps or sets rather than weight.
