When I see God sending deadly lightning storms and hurricanes, I think 'What an Act of God'.

Since He is all powerful surely he has the power to allieviate our suffering and deliver us into his Kingdom, and put an end to all the volcanoes erupting, the flooding, the heatwaves. But He forces us to suffer in these terrible conditions.

If only humans can commit Evil, then why does God make things so bad for us, since it's okay for Him because He can do what he likes?

If the wholesale slaughter of thousands if not millions of innocent people isn't evil, then god hasn't committed evil.

Thanks for the same ol' question, Morph. No matter how many times and ways theists explain personal and regional suffering, people keep asking. When I'm having a real time, face-to-face conversation with someone on this topic I try to assess where they're at in their journey of understanding the "problem of suffering." Otherwise I'd be wasting our time on concepts too basic or too advanced to be helpful to them.

Have you heard theists' answers regarding how humans cause a portion of their own suffering? This doesn't account for all of the problem/answer, but it's helpful for people who think that every instance of suffering must be God's fault. He created the universe in such a way that if we live according to His intention, we'll experience significantly less suffering than we do now.

Have you heard theists' answers regarding how God's catalyst for human suffering is only a means to a more important end? When I suffer it draws me closer to God; I'm compelled to trust Him more. If suffering, among other things, causes this reaction God intends, then why not send some suffering that can be alleviated with some sincere prayer?

Have you heard theists' answers regarding God's producing events that remind us of His awesome power? There's nothing like a loud thunderstorm to remind me how small I am, how powerful He is, and therefore how deep His love is for me.

There are plenty more sets of answers theists have given on this site and other forums. If you're paying attention to them, there may be more advanced or detailed versions of the question you could ask on your journey toward understanding the "problem of suffering." Thanks for asking.

God is merciful, He is loving and kind., but we must worship Him, and not mankind, our personal items like the car, furniture, make ourselves idols. Anything that you love more than God is an idol. He said that He is a jealous God; and we feel the wrath of His anger in many ways. Our lifestyles has displeased Him, our selfishness and disobedience caused Him pain, it stinks into his nostrils. He even said that He was sorry to have made us. We are a rebellious people. We have to deny the flesh every day to survive as a true Christian.

If you read Psalms God does do bad things out of anger but now that the love of Jesus has come and been spread, He no longer does that, He sent Jesus so that we can be saved instead. Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice for us all. Before Jesus, everyone that wasn't really close to God, went to Hell because that had no redemption. Now we are blessed to have Jesus and His love. It is our fault for the bad things going on today. It is because of the fall and sin of man. God can only do what we ask and believe for him to do. In my opinion, there are more bad people than there are good these days.

From the starting up, he has killed the children of israel with moses stupid regulation. possibility free lives were taken and many time used them for endless wars and murders. The christian god might want to even forsake jesus for his egocentric plans, do you imagine that he might want to spare you. If he has evil designs on you, i'm particular you'll die. He makes use of his spirit to own mankind and used evil angels for his own sake. Doing faux miracles by potential of blinding you first. he's a god who doesn't understand all issues yet take human beings as lowly beings and loves his angels more effective than human beings. Worship the excellent God. search for solutions desirable. Pray to heaven and earth for solutions. he's not the in uncomplicated words god yet between the gods in heaven.

You again?

Man, you sure are grappling with this sort of thing. Why does this get you so worked up?

You are not going to convince any believer to stop believing bc of this. You don't think we haven't thought of this or run into it before? Everyone has a personal or theological reason that it's concievable for God to be all good, yet let suffering happen. What you are doing is pointless.

Through the Bible it is explained to us that satan can, does and wants to cause us grief, sadness and pain all the time and try to make us turn to him or at least away from God. The only thing satan con not do is give or take life. So while you are blaming God for all the problems on earth maybe you should read the book that has the facts so you can make an informed decision. I will continue to pray for you.

Evil or good are concepts for humans. GOD is above those.

Consider small robots you built. If you do not like those you can rebuild or even destroy those. Had the robots had some emotion, they could have labelled your act as evil but to you it is absurd. It does not bother you.

So, there is no such thing as evil for GOD.

No. He is not capable of sin.

God allows bad for our good and for His Glory.

The unpleasant earth is a result of the curses from the first fall of man.

God created us and can end life as we know it at any time.
