Acupuncture uses needles...hence the puncture part. Acupressure uses only the pressure of the fingers. They both use the same points on the body, just different delivery systems.

Acupressure uses pressure (fingers, sometimes blunt objects) on certain points. Acupuncture uses very, very thin needles to stimulate certain points. (These are as thin or thinner than hair.) Some acupunturists turn them, others simply leave them in place for twenty minutes or so.
