If my man slept with another girl I'd stab him in the eye, if he fell in love with another girl I wouldn't be angry but I'd let him go for both our sakes. the two types of affair would produce different emotions, an emotional one would definately hurt me more. Lust is a far more common and easily arrived at emotion than true affection. It is after all easy to make a man sleep with you and far harder to make one truly care for you.

They are both wrong, cause hard feelings and mistrust. An emotional affair will likely lead to a physical affair. What would be the purpose of the emotional affair if you weren't hopeful for more?

As others say, an affair is an affair in my eyes, though I can/could see the partner of the cheating spouse forgiving an emotional affair much more easily. It depends on if the person having the 'affair' has made thier feelings clear to the person they feel for (not the regular spouse)

I think a physical on is worse because then you are acting on it but to be honest I agree with the person who already answered - it's still an affair even if it is not physical.

both would be horrible and unforgivable, but i think an emotional affair would hurt more as there probably telling the other person all about you and there secrets and problems physical would have no connection other than just a sh@g

Both are just as disgraceful!! Emotionally i would say is worse as the thoughts are often never forgotten and therefore often keep haunting!! I dont believe a relationship could ever be rekindled properly if one member has an affair! x

Emotional. The physical thing is painful, but if tey need to find an emotional relationship outside the one they are in, something is very wrong.

Which ever way you dress it up, its just plain wrong. If you dont want to be with some one. Simple end it, and alow both parties to move on? Not fair to play with someone, drag it out and hurt them even more
