I have WMP 9 and windows xp. I have already downloaded all of the codecs available for this version. yet my MP still opens up to a green screen. I hear the music and sound but no picture just a bright green screen. If any one knows of anything else that may fix it please share it with me.

Don't use WMP 9, upgrade to WMP 11, a lot more stable and a lot nicer.

Not sure about fixing it but you might want to try VLC. WMP does not support some formats. Its always nice to have VLC as a backup. Its free and a great program.

if you try to see your movies with media player and your media player have this problam you shoud repair it or re-instal your media player,
