A friend in work sells pirate dvds and i bought some but they wont work on my dvd player and when i try them on my computers they wont work either.
He showed that they work on his dvd player.

Is there anything I can download that makes them work on my computer ?

There is a good media player called VLC media player - it seems to play most things, regardless of region, format etc....

It should be available for free download, just google VLC and see what comes up.

You will know you have found the right one, if it shows an icon of an orange traffic cone.

do you have a dvd-rw or dvd-r drive on your pc?? if you don't, then no... if you do, then you might have to try an emulator. go to www.windowsmarketplace.com and see if you can find one. most the time, you can find programs for free on there.

also, I wouldn't broadcast that you bought pirated dvds... that's slightly illegal..... :P

Check out this video I spotted on YouTube one day. This should solve your problems with formats by helping you learn to make movie file conversions.

somebody already published, yet i'm right here to recommend VLC Media participant.. it is loose, performs especially much ANY media report you elect with no need to acquire volatile formats, very source useful.
