Religion is such. I was in the military as an atheist willing to die for America, until I was trained the purpose of war isn't to die, but to make the enemy die for his country.

I am willing.
I realize that this is the only time that I will be able to suffer and utilize the word of God to help me through it.
I have total faith in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
I look forward to every day and the challenge that it brings.
Everyone dies, why not die with a purpose?
I believe that the word of God is the only thing that I will take to heaven.
Peace out.

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are just words. So are freedom of expression and freedom of conscience. Or are they? Actually, they're words that evoke concepts of freedom that many of us, religious and non-religious alike, are willing to put our very lives on the line to defend and advance.

Because physical building, monuments, people are temporary. Ideas, philosophy, faith, are really the only things that have power and last. Those are worth living for and protecting.
