Worst operating system ever!
If you are addicted to Windows then stay with XP.
If you are looking for something easier and safer with a pretty user interface that beats Vista hands down then try Linspire.

Vista is bad news..very bad. Printers, sound cards, and video cards that worked with XP, often do not work with Vista. That is because different drivers are required and some companies will take years to catch up. This is also true with software..often not Vista compatable. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and dont update to Vista unless you have more money than sense.
Much better is to get Kubuntu for free at www.kubuntu.org

Don't do it!!!!
1) Third party drivers/apps are not allowed unless “approved” by Microsoft. Some of your favorite software won't run on Vista because the drivers have not been "approved" by Microsoft. This also means that the digital camera you just bought may not be "allowed" to connect to the PC.
2) ALL media copied thru Vista is SERIOUSLY degraded. The mp3s that you rip, are not allowed to be full quality. Same with DVD's.
Personally, if XP ever goes out of support, I'm going Linux

i got the home premium, you need a lot of ram and good video card (More than i gig of ram, like 2). It needs to validate everything you do. Overall i like the style, it runs fine after u know how to use it.
