i installed limewire but it only seems to let me download one song. next time i logged on it prompted me to install java(?) so did that and it was fine for a while, but then after a while, every song i tried to download had sum crazy ad by a bush impersonater in its place, and now it wont let me on there at all. i click on it on my desktop and nowt happens. bear in mind im bad with computers so laymans terms please...fanx

only suggestion i can make is ..try to unistall and install it again ...u can unistall it from start --->control panels ---> add and remove programs ...what i experienced in limewire is ..when u search for a song ..try to avoid songs open in quicktime player .most of them u will find total garbage ...try to download only songs which have more number of download and have approx 3000-6000MB...just approximation not accurate ...
may be it helps
never try to download any document coz most of them are potnetial source of viruses

As the man says, uninstall it then re-install. Only download mp3's -nothing else -no software or games or any .exe files.
it wont harm to do a thorough virus/spyware scan after the new install either
