Hmm, a microscope problem...I think this is concerned with the magnification observed in the stage micrometer. I'm not sure about this, but I think the solution is the quotient of objective lens and ocular lens, i.e:

objective lens/ocular lens measurements, or 40/10 = 4 micrometers. This value represents the size of the specimen being viewed on the stage. Again, not sure about this so please double check with another person.
