I have slouched all my life and my back doesnt hurt. Even now im slouching while writing this. It may make me look like a slob but its more comfortable than sitting up straight.

in time the muscles/tendons tend to shorten or lengthen abnormally causing pain
constant pressure over time will change the curvature of the spine
again.. causing pain
internal organs will get more crowded, smooched.. gain causing medical problems

you are more comfortable than sitting up straight because you already have some injury to the site from repetitive bad posture

slouching may hurt in the long run as u compress cartilage between ur vertebrae. u r used to slouching so it wont hurt, but try and sit straight for an hour, i bet u cant. also if u slouch, ur posture will dramatically worsen as u age

There are two reasons. The first is physical. It impedes your ability for your lungs to fully expand, it puts undo strain on your lower back, it makes your abdominal muscles weak.

The second is perceptional. People who slouch are perceived as lazy, unkempt, and unintelligent. It may not seem like a big deal now, but it will during you first real job interview.
