The Early Universe:
All our understanding of the very early universe (cosmogony) is speculative. No accelerator experiments currently probe sufficiently high energies to provide insight into this period. Scenarios differ radically. Some ideas include the Hartle-Hawking initial state, string landscape, brane inflation, string gas cosmology, and the ekpyrotic universe. Some of these ideas are mutually compatible, others are not.

The Planck epoch: 10-43 second
If supersymmetry is correct, then at this time the four fundamental forces – electromagnetism, weak nuclear force, strong nuclear force and gravity – all have the same strength, so they are possibly unified into one fundamental force. Little is known about this epoch, although different theories make different predictions.

So where did the electromagnetism, weak nuclear force, strong nuclear force and gravity come from. Did they just poof out of nowhere? Did someone create them? How did the universe start?

This is actually a very good question. And I'm not sure there is an equally good answer.

Gravity is due to the warping of the space-time continuum, think of the usual illustration of the rubber sheet, so that would come about as the continuum came into existence. All these forces are, or maybe they aren't, different manifestations of the same basic force. At least they should be if there is a Grand Unified Theory to be found. Maybe, when that is discovered I can answer you.

How the universe started depends on many things. According to M-theory there are potentially trillions of possible universes and they could exist in all sorts of states. Its that pesky sum over all possibilities thing. So, our universe could have come about from the big bang and before that there was nothing. Though I'm not sure anyone has any idea what caused the big bang to occur. But taking into consideration quantum mechanics, there may not have been a 'big bang' as such. Or the big bang may not have been at a singularity but have been caused by the collision of membranes or..... It goes on. There are many theories that explain a lot of the universe but none that explain it all. That is the GUT. And we are not even sure if there is one to be found. But, until we know exactly how our universe did start, it is not possible to say what caused it.

Yes these are only theories, yes they are speculative. We only know what 10% of matter in the universe actually is - the rest is all unnaccounted for, unexplained.

Black holes make no sense. Galaxy movement and expansion makes no sense. Planet formation and creation makes no sense. There are plenty of other things in the universe that remain explained, and because of the selective approach in their behaviour there is the evidence of design, the best possible evidence for God.

But we, as life, defied everything that there is in the universe too. And we are slowly working things out, step by step. Why does the periodic table of Elements have lots of space on the page? So we can fill in the gaps! Why do we call it the theory of gravity? Because it is a theory, nothing more or less, and when it works we praise it, and when it doesn't we amend it! Sound familiar? Yes - religion!

Or we can look at this weak nuclear force and call it the 'signiture of God'. We can call it what we like, it does not care for us. Has it ever occured to you that the advancement of technology was simultaneous to the development of religion, and we throw our faith and ideas away as we see fit, as they deal with the circumstance.

Science is a poor breakdown of the universe's higher purpose. And it is frustrating that so much may be beyond our possible perception. But that does not mean we have to fulfil galactic prophecy and die out according to things we have yet to understand. And it does not mean that we are powerless but instead we can take control! It is not perfect! But it is BETTER than just 'God'!

well I least as a scieces you know basically well, that its up to you to believed, that some one or something, creatre, and this thing don't just poof!!!, as you say pupup o=out of thin Air?, and begin to become. Before God, and or the divine, what ever, okay!, begun to create let us said, the foting and or foundation of Humanity?, because that is what it is?,a race, that will need of everything to funtion propertly and exist survvived and exceell in the process of evolution?, I, visit the Cosmos, or what was the Cosmos at the time where time wasn't yet real?, and then I ...., Visit the micro Cosmos and macro Cosmos?, after what and with the cooperancy of three..., no Joke, different areas of Space within the emptiness of space, that I may add...., it wasn't so empty), I concluded that I have got something, maybe I though, but other Energies will not wanted to follow my leads???..., and that it was Okay too., But when Satan or a negative energy that have Emanate from matter's, have try to take oout way my acknowledge to use me, I rejected though he didn't bettwer, than to use some other energies wich they where in a way ready to comply whit such a Demon, to plot against my intentions to use matter to achieved my purpouse to create life, and put the Human being,Intelligent being in charge. So, Satan and company, begun to sploit the power of others energies, and he decide to take own the beast to begin sucking the Energies of everything and that is when they create the conditions that will produce the "Big bang", though there was to much matter in the air, and that living energy will die to the desires of Evil, and they became my oponents. I toock control of the elements, and the substances of matter and I create the World, heavens was all ready a reality for my self, that will help me to reast a little when I need I feel the need to do it. so, the "Big bang", will not afect it me, but will affect the sanity of the negative and Evil energies. that then will begin to which and want also to destroy Matter, and as you know Matter can never be destroy, but can only achieved Changes?, as well that Energies can never be destroy, and achieved changes?, the Universe start by me controling matter, and give matter's and substances of matter's, to pursue changes, not for Mutation, athough matter steal can go back to its old way's, after I'm done whith the Human experience and we can all get out of here and into a new life with a physical body which we can assimilate from the substances and convert into the essences of our own positive energies. Oh Boy!!!!!!!

Wow....it is a mouth finished and a suggestions finished. I too am a Pantheist Pagan or maybe besides the undeniable fact that my beliefs decision from yours (quite) i can see the point you try to make. there'll continually be those who say we worship the created and not in any respect the author yet when the universe grow to be certainly created through the hand (or suggestions) of the Divine then it too holds divinity and the appreciation and acknowledgment of that is what Pantheism is (to me). that is not any longer worship. it is elementary reverence. I revere the universe, I appreciate it and comprehend that i will not in any respect comprehend or understand each and everything. We learn, we improve and we evolve. it is the nature of people (as is my understanding people). What we do with the expertise we benefit isn't continually pleasant and is not any longer continually interior of life like comprehension. All we may be able to fairly do is learn from our blunders and do our maximum ideal no longer to repeat the previous. it is my Pantheist reaction. i did not intend to go away a lengthy one yet i'm wakeful and really caffeinated this morning so there ya bypass....

Everything we know is theoretical.

What actually makes you think that humanity has progressed to the point to be able to gain a complete understanding of the universe?

Humanity is in it's infancy.

Would you like to know where electromagnetism, weak and strong nuclear force came from. Humanity defines everything around them. All knowledge is man made. God is man made.

I don't know whether any of it is true but it is very interesting. I do my best to try and comprehend all the latest science but unfortunately I just can't handle all of that and trying to earn a living. I think that some of the string theories will lead to the unavoidable point of God . I don't reject science I just don't accept the arrogance that it is all there is.It is only a study of actions and falls very short when it comes to Psychology or any other abstract.

The question you're asking requires a formulation of quantum gravity. We currently can mathematically resolve joining the two nuclear forces and electromagnetism, but until there is a formulation of quantum gravity, we cannot formulate a unified force equation.

I used to concern myself with this all the time, until the details of my crude mammal existence took over. Now I oversimplify it to myself and imagine a matter-antimatter pair of particles separated in empty space and somehow stayed apart (a blink of God's eye?) causing a chain reaction of virtual matter and antimatter becoming real. What happened in the next minute and how the arrow of time took off in the direction it did, well...

The scientist is still interested in those questions (and there are some pretty interesting theories already in circulation). Answers to questions just like these has resulted from scientists who keep on looking.

The theist is not interested in these questions. He wants us to STOP looking at once, and settle on a preordained answer. Further looking challenges the viability of that answer.

I'll stick with the scientists on this one, thanks. They've got the WAY better track record.
