What is it? I've heard so much abt it......What does it include and how can I get on it.

a south beach diet is a modified version of atkins diet. it is not about calories but about carbs. there are lots of carbohydrates in pastas,breads,milk products,fruits etc. chicken n eggs are low in carbs, so are veggies. take a 2 egg omelette or 2 egg white omelette for bkfst. take a salad. eat a lil something as a mid day snack, like a chunk of cheese,a cucumber. eat about 200 gms of chicken/fish in a low fat or zero fat preparation.couple with lots of salads. eat some 15 almonds/cashews/walnuts for tea. oh yes! have tea or coffee using skimmed milk in morning too. dinner would be same as lunch. i tried this diet, ur allowed other stuff too, but my kidneys got loaded with proteins.try consulting a doc first. but this diet really works.read the book too.
