For a married woman, college grants is based on both hers and her husband's household income and savings under federal rules and regulations regarding FAFSA. Yours or his parents' incomes do not come into consideration unless you you were married in the calendar year of the FAFSA application.

Grants will be based on your Adjusted Gross Income, so if you're married it will depend on what you and your spouse have as income regardless of your Mother's income.
