You may be right but understand this, most of the Christians in this forum that behave like that are uneducated fundamentalists. I often won't answer any questions at all or even leave the forum in disgust because of their foolishness. These are the "if your not with us , you are against us" folks. Most of us do not act like that but between them, the militant atheists who behave like that also, and people that mock everyone just to start conflicts, sometimes this whole forum is a waste of time. It is not just the fundamentalists who waste the opportunity to turn this forum into a learning device and a medium for mutual understanding. BTW I am Roman Catholic, a member of the original Christian Church and many of those people also hate us for strange reasons.

I think you are talking about RHETORICAL questions..they would be ones that don't need an answer. Hypothetical is an example that you use that doesn't specifically refer to a real event.
Why would anyone, trying to engage a person in dialogue, ask rhetorical questions? (That was a rhetorical question)

Because I have answered too many of your questions Meat, lol. A little humor does not hurt, God has a sense of humor...he made us after all. No, the dumb questions do not cause me to analyze or question my beliefs...I am far, far past that point in my spiritual growth.

You are of course refering to the comment I made, and therein presuming that I am a Christian. Why?
Anyways, hypothetical ideologues and defenses that constiute actually probablities, as those used in Socratic methods, are wholesomely helpful. However, illogical hypothesis based on a will to test theistic response do not help use find answers.

i wager the easy answer is definite, yet there might want to wish be a lot more desirable too it. He might want to have had to describe it more desirable than only that the global replaced into (even as it really is) overpopulated, like he might want to ought to describe that he has performed away with all the different commandments about procreation, marriage, no longer enticing in gay sex acts, etc. also, in holding such as your hypothetical it leaves it as a lot because the follower to make certain even as the global is overpopulated and for this reason the guy might want to wish to invite God even as that could want to be. because the global is only not overpopulated (ninety 9.9% in all danger to be the case), then it really is a frivilous or unnecessary commandment, which i might want to then ask God why He might want to provide one of those frivilous commandment. i'm particular His answer might want to be that He replaced into particularly only sorting out human beings and seeing in the adventure that they could use God and His teachings as an excuse for enticing specially habit (or no longer), which he had specially forbidden. i wager there are only too many holes in thy hypothetical. yet, to be sparkling, if God did ask that individuals in no uncertain way that they ought to take someone of an identical sex to be their better 1/2, then i do not have self assurance i might want to disobey, no count how opposite it replaced into to everthing He has ever taught and commanded.

Hypothetical questions are healthy, for many of the reasons you mentioned. All sound theories started as a hypothesis.

I agree with you and I use them quite frequently. The claim that the sun was the center of the solar system was probably a hypothetical at first.

No, rhetorical questions do that. Hypothetical questions accomplish little.
