My cat is very lady-like and never breaks wind. At least not that I know of. I had cats before who were very flatulent, especially when they ate tuna-and-egg canned food. You couldn't hear it, but you could smell it. A classic SBD (silent but deadly).

Oh yeah!!! I have 6 cats and they all pass wind from time to time but my youngest, Coco (10 months) is the worst. She farts when she's happy, sad, excited, frustrated, pretty much all the time!!! And she could give any human a run for their money. How can such a small creature create such a smell?

Heck yes cats fart, anything that eats does. Just so you know if you are feeding your cat wet foods, it makes theirs even stinkier.
Stay away from Turkey, and chicken because I think those are the worst.

Yes, they can. It's often without sound, but on rare occasions you'll hear a small fart sound and then, of course, you'll smell it. Sometimes it's due to just change of diet or sometimes it may be that they've eaten something like a bug that gave them a little gas.

Yes, any animal can flatuate. It is casues by eating to fast, eating to much, or to much activity after eating. Though I do warn you, most do not smell or be heard. Those that are heard or smelled, need to be checked out for possible food or other allergies.

Hope this helps.

Yep. We were treating our kittens for some intestinal problems with some perscription food and didn't realize we were giving them too much. They had a lot of gas and it stunk. Poor kitties. We don't really notice it any more.
