The definition of too many is one more than YOU are comfortable with. If YOU want another tat, rock on. If not, hey enjoy the art you have collected.

i think tattoos look tacky when they are badly done, i dont think a good tattoo will ever look tacky. if you want to extend your tattoo get it done at the end of the day tattoos are a very personal thing and how often will someone actually see your side anyway?! if you do get it exteded i would suggest you go back to the person who started it as different artists use different inks and have different styles then hopefully it will flow together well.
good luck.

The point where you hit "too many" is when you run out of skin. Then you get to play the "which one do I want covered up?" game! Won't that be fun?
Tattoos are for you. Not your friends, not you partner. Not to impress/unimpress your family. You decide how many you want, because as long as you are confortable with yourself, you'll never be tacky.
*i like to think that, one day, i will have a tattoo. a tattoo that covers every inch of me that i want inked.*

If it works for you, go for it. I have been wanting another for a while. I have 5 right now (two more that are covered up by one big one) and have wanted to do another one for years. I have one that has birth stones from all my kids except my baby girl. I'd like to get her stone added.
The trick to mine is, all of them can be covered with a short sleeve shirt. Back, shoulders, biceps.

I wouldn't be getting tattoos out of "addiction". I'd be getting them more for the enjoyment of the art of it or the meaning behind it.
So many people fall into the trend of getting pointless flash all over their bodies because they think its cute.
Maybe span out your tattoos and get bigger ones that will be more valid to your life.
Plus you can never have too many tattoos. Come on now ;).
Good luck with what you decide though!!

you know you've already decided to get tattooed more.
go and talk to your tattooist about your ideas, I think your tattoos look best if they're "on a theme" instead of a patchwork effect,
My theme kinda evolved but I have two half sleeve tattoos and a back piece ..... water, land and air. 1 sleeve consists of a koi carp and lotus and a frog, the other sleeve has a gecko, a mouse a bee and cherry blossom, and a dove on my back .

hey they express your individuality i feel , i love them there are many horrible tacky ones out there, i feel you should chose wisely as its there for life, its so addictive, and can become an obsession
many people dont like them but each person to there own
i myself have 6 only 3 are visual to the eye, i love them and feel they are part of me, however i do express they can be addictive cause i do want more, but you can easily have them removed as easy as you got them

You shouldn't be asking everyone what you should do. Do whatever you want to do. Other people aren't the ones who will have to live with it. Are you getting tattoos for yourself or for other people?

haha. there are people who have 33 tattoos. i really don't think 3 is overdoing it. ive got 2 at a time before. you've got a long way to go before you "overdue" it. go on with it.
