Well, it sounds like you're describing lymphadenitis, which is inflammation of the lymph nodes. There several groups of lymph nodes in the neck, which become swollen and painful when they become inflamed -- typically caused by local infection of the pharynx or larynx (i.e. sore throat). Malignancies (cancer) can also cause lymph node swelling, but is generally non-painful.

I would see your doctor about a differential, to determine the cause of what you're experiencing.

u should first go see a dermatolagist. they can reccomend proper medication that will make those bumps go right away. go to www.webmd.com and type in 'large, blistering, prominent, bumps on the neck'. a series of answers will be given, and whichever matches to your bumps, well then u'll know wat it is. o and if find a match, definately ask your/a dermatologist, cuz 4 all u kno this stuff is contagious and or spreading.

The first thing you need to do is go see the doc and get these diagnosed. Without seeing them or culturing them no one can have a clue what they are. See your doc for a proper diagnosis.
