I had doubts about it by the time I was age 7 or 8. Mom's father was a minister, so she forced me to attend church regularly, but I never joined it or any other. I had left my family religion by age 10 or 11 if truth be told/ The main thiong that began my doubts if I recall correctly was my dinosaur books. Gramps the preacher had a book saying creation was in 4004 BCE (Bishop James Ussher's figure I later learned), while my dinosaur books said Earth is 4,700,000,000 yers old and presented fossil evidence to support it, while Bishop Ussher had none at all. He just blindly followed a book of outmoded myths.

I was never raised religiously. When I was around 15 I read some about it, I liked the idea of not really dying, reincarnation seems cool. However, after a while it became clear to me that there can be no life after death, since brain activity is what constitutes consciousness. The idea of an immaterial soul residing inside of me doesn't make sense to me. Neither did I ever have any religious experience, it seems that there is a part in the brain that makes people susceptible to religion, guess I don't have that part :-)

i grew to become into in no way incredibly into faith. I went to three diverse church homes with acquaintances and kinfolk, however the finished difficulty appeared shallow and pretend. I in no way felt something yet boredom. i grew to become into atheist for a protracted time, till i found out i could have self belief in something i wanted, something in any respect, and function the comparable threat of being amazing as the different faith. So I evaluate myself agnostic, with the info constantly changing.

I never had one to leave.
That would imply I believed at one time the religion my parents attempted to raise me to believe. I never have... my mother still thinks "it's my your thing". lol Hmm.. sure mom, go with that.
