take out the insert The piece with the filter. Add Coffee to taste and poor in Boiling water (Not all the way to the top. The insert the filter and leave it in as close to the top of the coffee maker as possible and attatch the lid. the wait a few minutes for the coffee to turn dark then press the handle to the bottom of the coffee maker. then poor. Warning do not force the the filter down. This can cause you to spill boiling hot coffee on your hands. Take it nice and slow.

I use three scoops of fresh gd coffee
2 full cups of boiling water
pour over grounds
Put top on to keep steam in
Let set a few minutes.
Slowly press down thru water and to grounds.
Ready to pour
Enjoy!
