warts are caused by the human papillomavirus (there are more than 60 types of hpv). toads do not give you warts.

do not rip the wart off. you should leave it alone. most warts will clear up by themselves in 6 months to 3 years. if you cant deal with it for that long then you should call a doctor and have them either freeze it, do laser surgery, or electrocautery (burning it )

there is now an over the counter product called compound w that you can use.

you can try to make a paste from crushed vitamin c tablets and water. apply to the wart and then cover with a bandage so the paste doesn't rub off.

you can also try to put a drop of castor oil twice a day then cover with a tape bandage.

A virus causes warts. I have only had a wart once in my life and what I did was use Compound W faithfully everday. The wart was on my finger and I'd put on the CW and cover the area with a band-aid. I did this for couple of months and one day it started to come loose from my finger so I grabbed some tweezers and pulled it, it came out with a verrry long root and left a hole in my finger, the hole healed and it never came back, that was more than 25 years ago.

I swear this one works... take a piece of banana skin and apply it at night with a band aid, do this every night until its gone. We did this to my husbands wart on his finger but I don't remember how long it took. I think it was about 2 weeks. He said he could feel it working the first night.

You can freeze it off, CVS has kits. A doctor can do it for you as well.
