The plates would have to be on speed. In order for the flood to have occurred, the earth had to be flat (otherwise, coming to rest on a 9000 foot mountain top means there was at least 9000 feet of water covering the planet). That means all the mountains, canyons and valleys had to be instantly created by the flood.

That, of course, does not explain the differential erosion between say, the Rockies and Appalachians, but Creationists have never let facts, truth, and reality get in their way.

Who says the continents are drifting, or haven't always been where they are, or that God didn't plsit them up in the first 6 days?

I suppose they assume that they are where they always have been-continental drift is just another reality that they choose to ignore.
