I'm thinking of planning to by some tickets from SLC to Santo Domingo, DR. What time of year is probably the least expensive to do this?

the cheapest time to travel June-Oct. The hurricane season. Sept and Oct can be the worst hurricane months in the carribean but also the cheapest time to travel. We went to St Maarten the beginning of October last year and we were fine. Just purchase travel insurance and you will be good to go.

Happy traveling.

I found the best site for cheap tickets to the Caribbean on line...www.vacmart.com There you list the city you are flying from, where you want to go and the price range you want to pay...No other site is so easy... If you keep checking all the time the will have different prices depending on the time of the year. In December i found this trip fo Cancun from NYC for 5 days for 399., including hotel...It's the best site ever and i don't go to any other....Hey they should give me a discount....Peace

Usually in the fall the air tickets go down some. It really depends on how the travel trends are. If we have a bad hurricane season and bookings drop, the airlines will lower the fares.

Honestly, we live in Barabdos and there never seems to be a cheap time for air fares and with one of the airlines chosing and schedule being cut, the fares have actually gone up and doubt they will come back down. Bad news, especially if you live here.
