No, Iran is very different from North Korea, the koreans are dying because of poor economy while Iran, they have their own oil that will subsidize their war in Iraq.

NK want support and eventually the benefits of the modern international world so negotiation had a basis (though I don't think its over by a long shot). Iran is a theocracy with loony ideas that wants to kill us all to make our creator happy (if there was a god how would this make him happy - would you be pleased if some **** destroyed what you laboured to create). Negotiating with loonies doesn't work. We can appease and delay a conflict but it will come and our only say in the matter is when it happens. Maybe better soon while we have the overwhelming advantage in weapons terms.

Irag is a more complex case the Sunni and the Shiite are pathological enemies. It is akin to the Arab Israeli situation. There can be no political solution. Only the use of a brute force can keep the parties in check. The use of a Nuclear bomb to blackmail is the latest fag in town more nations will b e joining the bandaggon sooner or later if the kid glove approach is still applied.

Not likely. Iran wants Iraq. So they will do whatever it takes to get us out prematurely. If we leave before mission is accomplished, Iran has easy pickings for the land and it's oil.
Should Iran gain control of Iraq, we will be in serious crap.

N.Korea settled because it wanted something and got it.
In Iraq the terrorist want something too,the whole damned country.
They prefer bullets to ballets, force over reason and will kill innocents to prevail.
they and their allies,Iran,Syria and others want to control the world and the first step is to control the oil and sea ports.
If allowed to succeed, they will conquer the rest of the Gulf States and control the whole middle east.

As it was said before, NK has a history of breaking deals. One thing that I do find similar between NK and Iran is that they should both be bombed to the stone age.

North Korea has a history of making nice--nice only to turn around and do exactly what it wants later. You know, there's an old saying, "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me." This will be the third time. What does that tell you about our Government?
