what's the difference between these 2words?"burp"&"belch"?

They're both the same thing really, but "belch" implies a loud sound whereas "burp" could be either loud or quiet

Other than the obvious spelling? I think one is a fact of life and just happens where belching is discusting

a burp is basic and usually mild, coming from the throat... a burp becomes a belch when it gets bigger, i..e repetitive, loud, smelly, from the gut.

the words are different definitely.. but with the same meaning..burp is more of an informal word
