does anyone know how to transfer videos to dvd?

First Check on the back of your PC or Notebook if it has the following connections:-

S-video
Composite video

If you have'nt ....and you have a USB2 port then buy one of these

if you do have the connections on your PC then you just buy this to connect to the back of your VCR

Then you can download Nero and Capture the footage on to HD and then to DVD which is free for 30 days

If you have a digital camcorder

The way i did it was the if you have a Digital Camcorder with Analogue in

and if you have this cable

you can connect them both up

or connect it via scart

then connect the Digital Camcorder to you PC (via Firewire) and you can capture footage striaght from VHS to PC (pass through)

If you have a DVD recorder and a video player just join the two together with a scart lead, but around the 1990s they started to put a code on videos to stop people copying them so you will find unless their home videos you may find you can't copy them!!
