I just took some pics of my friends truck but since he'll have them on myspace and stuff, he wants me to blur out the license plate. I've used the blur tool and it just doesnt seem strong enough and u can still see the words or letters. I've changed the strength and everything but still cant figure it out!? need help on this one. Thank you!

put a square around it with the marquee tool (dotted line tool...should be in top left corner of tool bar) then when that is selected around the license plate go to Filter - blur (top drop down menus) and select guassian blur. then u can play with strengths and stuff. (just make sure u have preview on so u can see how strong it is) that should do the trick. let me know if u have any problems.

use clone tool to wipe off the words and letter of the license plate
clone the part of the plate with no letters and apply it on the part where there are letters, repeat procedure until letters disappears like magic

Try the smudge tool (looks like a finger pointing) and swirl it around a bit. Also, you can just put a small black box over it too.
