Offer to help pay for it. They're expensive, in case you hadn't noticed. Also, they need to know that you're not going to use it to get yourself in trouble. Lots of teens have no idea who they're chatting with when they get on the web. Your parents are obviously trying to look out for your safety, in case you hadn't noticed that either.

OK this is what you do.
1. hold your breath until you turn blue.
2. have an old fashioned temper tantrum.
3. run away from home.
4. get a job and pay for it yourself.
5. use the one your on.

why do you need a laptop. isn't this one good enough any more.
be honest with your parents. tell them why you need one. dont play stupid persuasion games with them about it. if they say no we cant afford one. then stop asking.

You get a job and raise the money to buy it yourself! Parents are required to provide food, some clothing and shelter. Anything else is gravy. They have reasons for why they don't do something you want them to do. You are not entitled to "things" just because you want them. Earning "things" not only makes you appreciate them more, but then they are yours and yours alone...

Look for ways to earn money to at least help pay for it. If you aren't willing to do that you don't want it as much as you think you do. If they see you are serious about it the chances of them helping you acquire it are much greater and you will gain some maturity.

If you were my kid (my daughter is 12) I would want 2 things from her. She would need to show responsibility to take care of her things that she already owns. If she can do that, then I would have her help pay for it. Then I would get it for her

-Do chores
-draw up an agreement with them and stick to it.....

Basically just show them that you are responsible enough to make use of it correctly. If they have valid reason to get you one then they will. If you just want it as an accessory then they wont. Generally parents want you to work for what you want...

well i had the really old computer that would not even hook up to t the internet so they said fine ( and i needed it for school) im so mad cause a fan in the computer Blow up so it had to get shiped out to be fixed and it has not came back yet im so mad...
