It isn't normal and you need to get it checked out by a doctor for your own peace of mind

You aren't being paranoid. If your not feeling well you should go to the docs.
Stress related headaches can often be felt at the base of your head, neck & shoulder blades. And migranes can be stress related. Try to spend an hour of an evening relaxing, in the bath or in a dark room with music.
However, you could have spasmotic muscles in your neck. If you work at a computer/desk?
If you are able to take ibuprofen, take 400mg, 3 times a day (after food) for the next two weeks.
You can also on top of ibuprofen, take migraleve for your migranes & nausea.
Cut out the running for a bit too, try brisk walking instead.
If all symptoms persist, see doc

for the head pain and dizziness i suggest you go to the doctor and ask to give you an ambulatory EEG. i was doing the same thing. they hooked this contraption to my head and i had to wear it for 24 hours. i thought i was just having migraines because they run in my family. come to find out i was having small seizures in my front temporal lobe. if they hadn't caught it and i continued with no medication i would have eventually had a full blown seizure with no signs of it coming on.

as for your shoulder pain and the neck pain that eases when you "pop" it i would go to a chiropractor. sounds like the jarring you receive when running is sending shock waves up your spine and putting it out of place. most people don't think chiropractors work but they do. for the first month or two you might be in a little more pain but that's because you have to teach your muscles to move to hold your spine in the right place.

for the pain going down your throat after running, do you take a bottle of water with you to take small drinks? try to breathe more through your nose instead of your mouth. if you do both of these i would maybe look into allergies.

There is a book that teaches about muscles, pain and referred pain anywhere in the body. The principle is that the muscles get knots called trigger points which make the muscles tight that then press on nerves. It teaches how to get them to release which gets rid of the pain.
The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.
I also use a chiropractor and massage therapist as needed.

Should you go to the doctors? Yes, absolutely.

Is it just normal? No, definitely not. But don't panic.

It would be silly - and irresponsible- for me to try and 'armchair-diagnose' what's ailing you; it may be a combination of things. But something is up - maybe not anything particularly serious, but even so. You need to go to the docs, get yourself checked out. That's one of the reasons why we pay our taxes, so that we can see a doctor when we need to, and your symptoms are obviously worrying you.

Hope you feel better soon.

You should go to the doctor immediately. Not enough information to say for sure, but it could be a spinal injury that gets worse with time. I had a spinal injury and it felt a lot like that. Symptoms kept getting worse.

You should consult with your doctor as there could be a variety of things going on in your body. Could be something simple as well. You probably need some lab work done, it will be worth it to put your mind at ease if it turns out to be nothing..

You need to go see your doc, your symptoms are not normal to have. Your medications could possibly have something to do with your migraines, you might ask your doc about switching and see what happens.

Hello lollipopn,

You have not given enough information for a proper answer about such serious symptoms. Please see a doctor about this before you do any more running.

Best wishes,

S

Good luck
