Well, there are different forms of love. It doesn't always mean they're "in love" with you. And what a lot of people don't realize is that love is an action(to love someone), not a feeling! When you love someone, it causes feelings though. That feeling could be friendship! It's possible to love being someones friend and nothing else! However, some people do use the term loosely because they honestly don't understand what it really means or that it has more than one level to it. I've heard many scenarios where the boyfriend or girlfriend will say "I love you" then break up with the person the next day! They're confused by love. They think it's a feeling and when it changes they have to leave. What they don't know is that love is an unconditional action that never departs even when the feelings don't line up! Feelings change all the time. That's just human nature! But love stays around even when it doesn't feel like it! For example, your parents love you so they do things to show you, like earning a pay check at work so you can eat everyday and have all the essentials to give you a great life. They may not feel like doing this, but they do it anyway because they love you! Overall, it's about sacrifice! I hope this breaks things down a bit!
