i have just read an article by DR Zakir Naik
about the Existace of Allah (God)
here is the article http://www.irf.net/irf/comparativereligion/index.htm
what i want to know is....are u truly willing to believe in God if somone could actually convince u that God exists?
or is it too late to blieve and that you already have your evidence that God doesnt exist?
i just felt like asking an Atheist this qustion because Athiests do not believe in God at all a believer has his own beliefes (right or wrong) maybe he inharited his beleifes as most of us did but a non believer chose his own way
thanx
here is the main site of the Islamic Research Foundation (IRS).... http://www.irf.net/irf/main.htm

Atheism is often just as much an expression of faith as any religion---in this case, faith that no god exists. Therefore, convincing an atheist is probably just as difficult as changing the mind of a true believer. However, some people, usually described as agnostics, are open to the possibility that a god may exist.
It's easy to realize that it is impossible to prove that an all-powerful god does NOT exist. What sort of evidence would be convincing? Absence of proof is not proof of absence. Even if I thought I had found positive proof of the non-existence of your god, you could logically counter with "my all-powerful god made that evidence to fool you." Since there is no logical way to disprove the existence of a god using observable evidence, no scientist or other rational person should bother to try.
What sort of evidence would prove that a god DOES exist? The only way to infer conclusively that a god exists would be to observe phenomena that could not possibly happen without the existence of a god. Since we do not know everything about the universe---since physics and biology and cosmology still have unsolved mysteries---any unexpected event could simply be the result of physical laws we have not yet discovered. We would have to "finish" science before we could "prove" a god. Even if it is possible to someday finish science, how would we even know when we got to that point?
Therefore, the existence of an all-powerful god cannot ever be proved, if "proof" requires logic and observational evidence. Hence, most believers in a god base their belief on FAITH rather than on science, because science is incapable of supporting the decision either way.
I glanced at the website you linked in your question. It appears to me that the author has summarized the beliefs of several major religions by quoting holy books. This is a great resource for anyone interested in comparative religion, but you should not confuse such explanations with proof. Quoting a holy book as proof of the existence of its god is a logical fallacy called tautology, or circular reasoning: the god exists because the holy book says so, and the holy book is true because the god inspired it. (In symbols, this proof amounts to: A=B, therefore A=B.)
Your question is ill-posed because it implies that the existence of a god can be proved by logic and observation. The whole point of religion and belief in god, in my opinion, is to exercise FAITH in the unknowable. I suggest you stop trying to PROVE your god to non-believers, because such a proof is impossible.
Even if you disagree, trust me that the non-believers probably agree with me, so you'll never convince them.

I was a Christian for 14 years. All the proof I got there was indoctrination and a proof-less belief system. If there is a god, the religions on earth are nothing devoted to him. There are over a thousand, countless claiming to have merits to "the one and only" god. If an Anti-Christ came and started to do other worldly things, he would either be: A: an Alien or B: a God. I wouldn't believe unless he was capable of, like, bending a hole in the space time continuum. But even then, he would have more say than an actual Christ in my eyes.

Well, I'm agnostic more than atheist. So I essentially believe in nothing and question everything. So I'm not convinced there is NO God, nor am I convinced there IS a God. So if proof were every shown, sure, I'd believe.
Of course, the nature of religion is such that no proof can ever be found. If there was proof, it would no longer be religion.

I'm not an atheist, but....you can't convince someone to believe or not believe in God. The Deists say (and it seems to be true) that a change in beliefs can only come about through a personal revelation. An atheist has lived his entire life, seeing millions of pious people, hearing persons of faith speak...many atheists even know the Scriptures better than those who claim to be God's greatest supporters....and they still see no proof.
Even as a theist, I don't see any proof. So its I believe its useless to try to convince them otherwise.

My atheism comes from a scientific view of the world/universe. IE I look for logical evidenced explanations of events rather than basing things on blind faith in the highly unlikely. If someone could produce hard evidence of God that disproved my beliefs and most of scientific belief around creation/time/the Universe/biology/evolution/etc then my aproach would require me to adopy that as the new truth.

I am an aetheist, however if I was to be given irrevocable evidence that there is an almighty being hanging around making Worlds and stuff, then yes, I would change my opinion. I think though that the only evidence that I am ever POSSIBLY going to receive would be when I am stood tapping on them Pearly gates.

If any proof of a deity's existence is to ever surface, I'll wager that atheists will become aware of it long before most zealots do. The science and knowledge factors, for whatever reason, have always leaned strongly AWAY from religion.

If someone convinced me that there was a God I would believe in it. All of the evidences and proofs I have ever seen were speculative, and pseudo science along with gross interpretations.

you'd have to come up with some real good arguments.
What I have seen in the past 2000 years failed to convince me.
Also, this site seems to be a general overview, not a milligram of proof in sight.
