Really, I am not asking to make fun. I just want to know why, in religious quotes, certain words are always CAPITALIZED. I've seen this consistently - so what's the reason for it?

Nope, the words "God," "Christian," "Bible," or "Heaven" do not offend me. Unless they are used in an offensive way - just like any word.
And actually I am sort of amused that some of you seem to be offended by my asking - I must have hit a sensitive spot.
I am not asking about capitalizing proper nouns like God and Jesus. What I mean is when people say something like "it is a GIFT from God..." etc.
And a few of you have said that it's for emphasis. Fair enough - that's all I was asking for. :)

For the same reason that caught your attention, Many people don't know what is said, They only read over an answer, Therefore in my answers, for certain words, I use Captital letters to catch someone attention. Other then that, there is no purpose.

Capitals emphasize don't they?
I have used capitals in this quote;
Through grace are you saved, through faith, it is a GIFT
of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.
A lot of people think that they have to do something to be saved, or give up something.
I wanted to emphasize the gift, so I capitalized that word:)
Peace out.

We capitalize any word that refers to God. For example. In Him alone is our hope. The word Him is capitalized because Jesus is God. Again in another example: In the Holy Eucharist, we eat the Body and Blood of Christ. Holy Eucharist, Body and Blood all refer to Jesus Who is God so these words have to be capitalized to show They refer to God the Almighty. So in Communion, we receive God not an ordinary piece of bread but Jesus the Bread of Life.

Simply because in the Old Testament, the Hebrew word for God is "Yahweh," and the closest equivalent to that in English is "Lord." It's written out "LORD" to show that the actual Hebrew word in the Bible is "Yahweh" and not the word for master or simply -a- lord.

We do whatever the Bible does.
They always capitalize LORD if it is Jehovah.
They always capitalize Lord if it is Kurios.
They always capitalize God if it is Elohiym.

They always capitalize His, Him, Son, if it refers to God or to His Son, and Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit depending on the translation.

If they are quoting the Bible, caps are used to differentiate between different names of God.

Just like Primoa says, for names or titles. The one that I don't understand is when someone spells God like this G-D or G*D or similar.
