Rebound doesn't automatically mean negative things about the relationship.
But why do we stick with any relationship that's perceived as failing? Cause we're afraid to be alone or afraid we can't do better.

you dont really seek out a relationship or what you want, you just tend to settle for whats right there in the moment that makes you feel good. if your just settling then furthur down the road you may wish for more, because it wasnt really what you had wanted in the first place. i think we stick with these relationships because nobody likes to be alone. and you feel so comforted by a rebound, and it gives a false sense of reality.

Insecurity & Gutlessness ! Some are so pathetically inadequate that they will hold onto anything to avaoid the fear (ohhhhh) of being alone ! even for a week or a month ! those people never grow up ! They should be lined up and shot !

Why? Because at the back of your head your wishing you're not simply a rebound. Because at the back of your head your wishing the person will genuinely fall in love with you, in time.

it will make you a better person in the long run and it just comforts them.
sometimes it makes the girl realize you are a great guy and the relationship will turn out great.
it all depends.
