Milk is very VERY bad for the stomach of cats and dogs.
It is not life threatening but it can create other problems as the pet gets older.

Water is the best. However there is a company that sells cats milk that is okay for cats to drink. Giving cats cows milk (or some other) may cause cats to vomit or have diarrhea because most are lactose intolerant.

We have 7 cats living in this house. They all drink mostly water. One of them insists on drinking from the sink- she'll yell until you turn the water on- But one of the cats drinks a lot of cream. But she's kinda fat. I think it depends on your cat. My cat loves to lick some of the milk leftover from my cereal bowl. Remember these are cats, not dogs. They usually don't harm themselves with excess. I mean keep an eye on them but I don't think a little milk would hurt on occasion just make sure there is water down ALL the time for them.

Water, cats cannot process the lactose in milk like we can. Milk is nice as a treat now and then, you can buy special cat milk, whiskas and felix do it

If you really want to give your cat a treat every now and then you can give her a bit of KMR found in any pet store. It stands for kitten milk replacement. Not often, but every once in awhile. It is harmless and made especially for their sensitive stomachs. By the way...most of our farm cats live anywhere between 15 to 22 years of age and most all of them have had a bit of cows milk....(a car seems to be their worst enemy)...but it really is not good for them on a long term basis. Here is a website with all you need to know about KMR -vs- cow's milk. Good luck!!

i've got three cats and you should always have a bowl of water around for them to drink!most cats are lactose intolerant which means that they cant digest sugars in milk. You can give cats milk as a treat (junk food for cats!)
The first step is to determine if your cat likes milk. If your cat does like milk then determine is he or she is lactose intolerant. If your cat is lactose intolerant then he/she will have a little diarrhea and a little stomach problems for a few days after drinking the milk. In this case you will definitely want to give your kitty a milk substitute created for cats - tescos, morrisons etc all have these in their stores. Many veterinarians suggest that if your cat does like milk and even if he/she isn't lactose intolerant that you should get him/her used to a milk substitute anyhow as it is better for the cat.

NEVER give dairy to cats. You're just asking for trouble. Major health risks when giving milk to cats. Especially kittens. There's a reason farm cats don't live to be very old.

never give them diary like we drink..there is a type of milk substance that you can give your cat..go to a pet store or vet and they should be able to tell you..the brands that my cats like are Wiskers and Catsip..they are like 2 dollars or so..you would only give them just enough in a small dish to where you can still sorta see the bottom..and they just lap it up..then you refrigerate as usual...some cats like it some dont..mines love it!! good luck with your search!!!
