Well, the younger person should talk to the son/daughter and see how they feel about it. How big is the age difference, because if they are more than a decade apart, that's a bit far fetched. If they all get along and everyone is okay with it, and the serious part means marriage and not sex before marriage, then I'd say that sounds okay. The people in the relationship need to make absolute certain that they both love and like each other, that's very important. Good luck and God bless!

People seem to be either answering as idealists who haven't been there and done that or with a nasty tone.
Hey, listen, I'm with someone older than myself, and no, I'm totally not comfortable with his kids being of comparable age to myself.
But you know what?
I never knew them, they're all the way across the country, and I avoid the thought of it.
Don't put me in the situation above.
I'd freak, and it would be over no matter how hard I tried.
But that's just me.
I say, you(that person should) try it, and if it all goes wrong, it's no different than all of the other relationships that break up and the divorces, etc.

If you are good to this person and your old friend understands that you make his mom/dad happy then it shouldn't b a problem but, a little awkward at first. Don't take true love for granted, it doesn't always come often so, I would just make the best of it and stay in the relationship for the sake of true love. Oh, tell your friend this.

i do believe love has no age barrier if the relationship is genuine it is okey you can hear or see that relationship most of the time the twist is the daughter/son scenario if the ralationship is real thats fine but if it is for fun that hurts
what would i do on this situation ill go for it who cares::::::::

You have to ask yourself, how would YOU feel if you found out one of you friends was fooling around with your mom behind your back and that by the time they came clean about the relationship to you it had already gotten serious?
How would you feel?

Well, if you don't tell them, then there won't be a very good trust foundation in the relationship. But if you do tell, then it could make things awkward between the two of you. Just do whatever your heart tells you to do. <3

If the old high school friend is a he, then I would make him call me "Dad". If it's a she, then I would try to hook up with her too...
