It could be reverse sneezing, which isn't a problem and happens to dogs all the time. But if it is allergy related, you may need to take him to a vet to determine the allergy. I would rather be safe than sorry and take your dog to the vet to find out exactly what it is. I wouldn't want anything to happen to my dogs, so I would take them. But that is me...is your dog's health worth it to you?

What kind of dog do you have? If you have a snort nosed dog (like a japanese chin, pug, bulldog, shih tzu, etc), these dogs do tend to wheeze. Mine does! If you have a long nosed dog like a golden retriever, lab, etc they very might well have asthma or maybe just an allergy. It wouldn't hurt to get them checked if you are really worried. I don't know how old your dog is or how long you've had them. More information would help. Good luck.

Take him to the vet. If he's never had this breathing problem before it could mean that this is an alergic reation to something. These things can be life threatening. Don't put it off.
