Yes, according to testing it does. Just as how his father treated his mother does as well.

I think in many cases it does. A man's mother is the first and dominant female around them in the beginning of thier life, and is usually always there throughout the rest.
They say that when you are dating a guy, you should see how he treats his mother, for that is how he will treat you, if not now- in the long run.
For example my ex was the sweetest thing, always charming and polite, but one day i went over to his family barbeque and he was so rude to his mother - putting her down and such. I didn't think much of it at the time, but further and further into our relationship, these qualities came out, and finally near the end he treated me just as i had seen him treat his mother a year prior.
So in my opinion no matter how the mother acts/ or treats him, the way he treats her back is evident in the way he treats other women

I'm not 100% sure if there is a direct correlation between the two but they do say that how a guy treats, and how connected to his mother will show how he will treat you and feel towards you. After all if a guy isn't afraid to hit his mom he's not going to be afraid to hit you. If his mom treats him badly then he should be a bigger man and do better than his mom. How someone treats you should not be an excuse to be rude mean or inconsiderate!

Yes.My first husband's mother was a ***** and was always putting other people down.We were married for 25 years and he was always running me and my children down for the least little thing. My ex also had his mother's personality.Neither one of them was ever happy about anything in life. They were miserable people so why should anyone else be happy?I am glad to finally be out of that mess.

no, I don't think there's any truth in it at all... I have no relationship w/mother and when I was younger I never got along w/her at all. I have a great respectful relationship w/my wife and we get along very well. I don't think one has anything to do with the other.

The general conses is that it does. I agree. My mother was a very castrating woman and it effected my sex life drastically. I was afraid to approach woman and stayed a viigin until age 24. I wound up "marrying my mother" two times! Both marriages ended in divorce and now that I recognize my problem, I will not marry again. No amount of therapy will resolve that issue.

It might have a negative impact on his outlook regarding women but I doubt that it will make him treat women as if they worthless. He might take a longer time to trust and might get easily annoyed when similar comments come from the woman in his life but generally it should be good. Every guy has his off days and it shouldnt be misinterpreted as a bad relationship.

It the mom brow-beated her son than, YES...... The son will be bitter and more than likely take it out on his girlfriend or spouse. He never learned to have respect or to give it. If he was treated poorly by the one main influence in his life than it changes who he is as a person. He never felt acceptance or love for who he is only resentment. He will pass it to the next generations... In some extreme cases men have claimed to be rapist because they were getting even with mom and all women deserved it. Really sad, but true...

not really... me and my mom don't talk a lot, but i'll talk to my girlfriend all the time. i mean of course it has an effect on you how your mom treats you and it might affect your relationships, but that doesn't mean your relationship with your girlfriend will be like the one with your mom. i mean obviously your girlfriend and mom are different people, so why would you treat them the same?
