People always say: In God's eyes it's a sin... in God's eyes it's an abomination.. in God's eyes it is unforgivable etc.

Yes you can

If God is busy taking care of the middle east, he might miss something. At least this is what the pope-pee and the goblin gang wishes you to believe.

Sin is defined as a wrong that has been identified as leading to displeasing whatever God you're referring to. Jesus was a Jew, and so that's the context of his statements regarding sin. While Jesus talked about sinning against someone else, it was always under God's watchful eye. Therefore sin is never discussed outside of a religious context.

However, ethics has boundaries that are different from sin. In the view of the Roman Catholic Church, it is a sin before God to use a condom. However, ethically, in Africa where HIV is so prevalent, having sex without a condom, even with one's spouse, can be seen as unethical if there has ever been a dalliance outside the confines of monogamy.

Sin is a word that has been greatly misunderstood and misinterpreted. Literally translated from the ancient Greek in which the New Testament was written, to sin means to miss the mark, as an archer who misses the target, so to sin means to miss the point of human existence. It means to live unskillfully, blindly, and thus to suffer and cause suffering. Again, the term, stripped of its cultural baggage and misinterpretations, points to the dysfunction inherent in the human condition.

There is sin before God.
There is sin before man.
There is sin unto ones own self.
For what is not of faith is sin. Working in ones on strength.
For he whom knows to do right and does not this is sin.
Sin of self worship.
There are many levels of sin.

Not really.

Sin is a deliberate thought, word, deed, or omission contrary to the eternal law of God.

In other words, sin is anything that hurts your relationship with God.

With love in Christ.

"Sin" is a convenient way to condemn something that you disagree with or that just makes you uncomfortable because you wish you were doing it.
