IS it possible to view and play .swf files offline?? If so what software can I use to open it??

you could use internet explorer or macromedia flash to view .swf files offline... make sure that it is saved in your computer and is not just a hyperlink to some other location available online...

I think downloadin shockwave flash plugin for your internet explorer will be enough...
