Do you struggle at all with it? I struggle more with other people's perception, which shouldn't matter, but would love to hear people's experiences and how they managed to get through it. (I am 22 and look young, she is 32 but looks a lot younger).

There is a 14 year difference between my husband and I. It has never bothered either of us. If we've received weird reactions from people, we never noticed or just didn't pay it any mind. Intellectually speaking, we're on the same level, so it's hard for us to see a difference between us. When people get to know us, they quickly see that too. We've had a few funny encounters over the years, usually at restaurants, waiters have asked if I was his daughter. We usually just laugh and correct it. If you're a good match with the person in every way that counts, age shouldn't bother you or anyone else.

I am in a similar situation, me 24 and him 34. We've been dating for three years and live together. Unfortunately the age difference has often been a problem as even though I'm mature, I feel like I am missing out on a lot of things, basically just being young and carefree, but if you really love the person you work it out and in the end it does ... if you love her and she you ... then give if all you have and dont worry about other people, it's not their life.

Age is just a number. It's always been acceptable for men to date younger women. But with obvious societal changes, more women are starting to date younger men. From personal experience, I believe that older woman/younger man relationships are harder to maintain than older man/younger woman relationships, as a woman's worth in society is still measured by her appearance, a man's worth is based on his financial status. Good luck to you.

I am 40 and he is 25 but most ppl think we are very close in age. When we take our granddaughter out ppl think she is our baby. I love the shocked looks though, ppl are so narrow minded.

i am 51, he is 63. the ONLY issues we have had with age is the fact that he is now retired, and i still have years left to work. this means we can not enjoy retirement together where as if we were closer to the same age we would.

hmm, i don't know about older women and younger guys. i've had a relationship with a guy who was 8 years older than me. he treated me like a little child and we argued a lot. still... it was pretty sweet. i think i'm gonna keep dating older guys.
well, in your case... well if you watch tv a lot you'd notice that older women wants younger guys because of their physical appearance. desperate housewives want sex. that's all. i'm sorry.
